1. How are funds raised during Hair for Hope?
As a participant of Hair for Hope, you can opt for a pledge card or encourage donations via the online pledge portal, which you may use to collect donation from your friends and relatives in support of your sacrifice.

2. How much of the funds raised actually go to helping the children with cancer?
About 90% of the funds raised are channelled back to our beneficiaries in the form of Financial Assistance, Casework and Counselling, Therapeutic Play, Childhood Cancer Transplant Programme, Parents' Support Programme, Educational Talks and Workshops, Social and Recreational Programmes, Training and Research amongst others.
3. What assurance do I have that the amount of funds raised is not used for other purposes?
As a member of National Council of Social Services (NCSS), CCF is required to follow the guideline which states that at least 70% of the funds raised should be channeled back to beneficiaries. Click here for detailed information on how funds are utilized.
4. Is there a minimum amount I must raise with the pledge card/online pledging?
No.
5. Can I request for a pledge card/online pledging without shaving my head?
No. However, you are encouraged to spread this awareness and more than welcomed to donate to CCF’s causes.
6. When and how do I return the pledge card and the donations collected?
You are kindly required to return your pledge card together with the donations collected (cash/cheque) to the CCF main office on 26 July 2008 (Saturday). Timing will be advised closer to date.
7. What happens if I lose the pledge card?
Please report the lost card to CCF. We will be required to make an official police report.
8. When is the online pledging period till?
All donations through the online pledge portal can be made till 30 Aug 2008
9. Can I approach members of the public for donations for the pledge card?
Yes you can, however you are encouraged to spread the word about the reason behind shaving.
10. Can I get tax relief from donations for the pledge card?
Yes. Donors who want tax-relief will be required to provide their NRIC/FIN number. Donations will be automatically included in their tax assessment by IRAS. Please note that CCF will not be issuing tax-deductible receipts.

How else can we raise funds for the event?
Besides the online donation portal at the event website and through the monetary pledge cards, you can also do contribute in direct donations on the event day or make a general donation.
