Hair For Hope 2008

On 6 July 2008, Hair for Hope 2008 was held for its 6th consecutive year at Velocity@Novena Square. This year, 721 brave volunteers, including 159 female volunteer-shavees joined us in shedding their locks to express their encouragement and support for children with cancer. Through the symbolic gesture of shaving their heads, these volunteers spurred our little warriors on by letting them know that they are not alone in their fight against cancer and that there is nothing wrong with losing hair or being bald. These brave volunteers have and will continue to help us create greater awareness about childhood cancer through the sharing of their experience and motivation in joining us for Hair for Hope.

Hair for Hope 2008 was a tremendous success and we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to our event sponsors and partners, especially our official hairstylist, Kimage Salon who is supporting CCF for the 3rd consecutive year and our venue sponsor, Velocity@Novena Square for sponsoring us for the 2nd consecutive year. We also want to thank all the staff and volunteers at CCF who have worked hard to make this happen. Last but not least, we want to thank all the volunteer-shavees who have joined us this year, for their courageous act of shedding their locks and joining us in building a community of support for children with cancer!
