I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to CCF. They have not only help me to persevere throughout all my therapy sessions and treatments; they had also counselled my mum not to be too worried for me.

After all the therapy sessions and treatment, CCF introduced me to the Assisi Children Centre where most of the children with cancer go to do some light education and have a chance to share and care for those with similar sickness - Cancer. (I was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumour.)

First and foremost I must thank CCF as they have been providing me with tremendous amount of support. I still could recall those days in hospital where I could only stare at whirring fans from my bed. In fact, I was only limited to go to the loo and only the washing basin at the far end of the room. In addition, there were intravenous tubes hooked on me. Despite being used to it, believe me it was still a very long process. Just when I thought it another ordinary treatment day, a CCF play personnel dropped by to play board games. It was an enlightening moment and true enough, an hour had already gone. Although it was a over a simple task, it really is an effective way to brighten up one’s day. Overall, CCF has helped me to ease the pain I had to endure during treatment. Once again, thank you CCF!

Deborah contracted leukaemia in the year 2005.  She was then 4 going on 5. Everything happened so fast.  Before we knew it, she was rushed into ICU, spent 2 days there, another 2 days at an isolation ward and then a week at the neutropenic ward.  We didn't know much about leukaemia then and thought it to be fatal. We were devastated upon hearing the news. Emotions and confusion clouded our minds and were at a loss what to do next.  Our next 8
eight months of intensive treatment was like a roller coaster ride and our lives changed.

We didn't know much about leukaemia and thought it to be fatal. But if it was not for the constant and genuine warmth, care, assurances from doctors and nurses at KKH and the staff and volunteers from the CCF, we'd be totally drained from our anxieties. I remember being introduced to Aaqilah during our orientation round.  The first thing that struck me was her warmth and assurance that all was going to be well and if I needed anything, to just walk down the hallway and I could find her or get assistance from anyone at the office.

My husband and I marvel at the selflessness and enthusiasm of the staff and volunteers from CCF for their dedication, time and energy put into the job.  Behind the scenes, a lot of hard work and long hours are spent just to
ensure that the beneficiaries and their families have an enjoyable time to compensate for those trying times at the hospital.

Our deep and special thanks to each and everyone at CCF!.

May the good Lord shower you and your families bountiful blessings from above.

While I was undergoing chemo, CCF was a heaven where I could forget, for a while, that I was even in hospital. There I could pass the time playing board games, reading books and going crazy with the arts and craft materials.

CCF also gave me the opportunity to travel as there were doctors on call, and I have been to Thailand and Malaysia under the CCF banner. Both the trips were enjoyable, well organised and I was very fortunate to be able to go overseas during that time.

I deeply appreciate all that CCF and the volunteers have done for me as they have made a great difference in my life, and the lives of many others.

Lord,
I pray to you today,
I pray that you heal my heart.
I now fold my feelings, my past bad experiences and all my agonys,
I give them to you,
take them away from me and let me live life the way you want me to,
let me think of all the good things in my life,
let me forgive those I that have hurt me ,
let me forget all the bad things that I have done.
Forgive my sins, o, lord,
Let me be able to do what you want me to do,
to live my purpose in life,
I believe everyone has a purpose,
you created each and everyone of us with a purpose,
Let me live that purpose.
Lord, I pray to you today with thanks ,
letting me be able to overcome everything with strength,
doing things I haven't done before.
Thank you Lord,
In you name, I pray
Amen
