Q: How can I make a donation to Children's Cancer Foundation?
A: You can make out a cheque to:
Children's Cancer Foundation
Orchard PO Box 0157
Singapore 912306
Please provide us with your name, contact details and NRIC/Passport number
at the back of the cheque for us to send you an acknowledgement and a
tax-exempt receipt.
A: You can also make an online donation via the
Online Donation
Portal (OLDP) provided by the National Council of Social Services (NCSS).
Q: How much should I donate?
A: We welcome any amount that you feel comfortable giving.
For every $20 contributed, you can help a child who needs financial assistance
with dietary needs to purchase a tin of milk powder. For every $50, you can
help a child needing financial assistance with one week of living expenses.
Q: Do you have a GIRO service for monthly contributions?
A: Yes, please click on the Giro Form here.
Q: What percentage of funds raised goes to the children and their families?
A: About 80% of the funds raised are channeled back to our beneficiaries in the
form of Financial Assistance, Casework and Counselling, Therapeutic and Supervised Play,
Childhood Cancer Marrow Transplant Programme, Parent Support Groups, Educational talks
and workshops, Social and Recreational Programme, training and research amongst others.
Q: Why does CCF need to keep reserves?
A: Reserves enable CCF to continue serving the families at the current level of intensity,
uninterrupted, for the next two years. We also ensure that our reserves are kept below three years'
of operating expenses so that we can help as many families as possible.
Q: Who can I contact with regards to fund raising?
A: You can contact the Executive, Sponsorships at admin@ccf.org.sg
or call us at 6835 6464.
Q: Do I get a tax-exempt receipt for my donations?
A: For outright cash donations a tax-exempt receipt will be issued.
As announced in Budget 2002, all cash donations to charitable organisations will
be granted double tax deductions. This means that for every $1 a tax-payer gives
to charity, he can have $2 deducted from his taxable income.
This is applicable for all personal and corporate donations.
Please provide full name, address and NRIC or ROC for us to send you a tax-exempt receipt.
Q: Are you a member of National Council of Social Services?
A: We are a member of National Council of Social Services (NCSS). However we are
not under the fund raising arm of NCSS - Community Chest of Singapore. We raise our funds
independently but NCSS does refer potential sponsors to us.
