Fund-Raising & Events
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the Community Partnerships Department with fund raising projects and events
- Assist the Community Partnerships Manager with planning and execution of fund raising projects and events
Requirements
- At least 20 years old
- Likes planning and conducting events / projects
- Is mature
Commitment
- For the entire period of a project (which could be between 2 to 3 months)
Public Education - Volunteer Educator
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist Public Education Department with Childhood C.A.R.E. talks and exhibitions in schools
Requirements
- At least 25 years old
- Available during office hours
- Confident in presenting before a big audience (more than 400 students)
- Comfortable in delivering the talk in English
Commitment
- Able to commit up to a whole school calendar year (January-end November)
Public Education - Volunteer for Exhibition Team
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist Public Education Department with Childhood CARE Programme, exhibitions and events
Requirements
- At least 20 years old
- Available during office hours or weekends
- Mature, comfortable to talk to public on childhood cancer
Commitment
- For the entire period of the pre-event preparations (which could be between 2 to 3 months) or as when we have exhibitions or road-shows
Communications
Communications is a broad field, volunteers are sought for in the following areas:
- Photography
- Writing
- Design Work
- Print design (brochures, banners, folders, T-shirts etc)
- Online design (layout of electronic materials)
*No minimum age requirements for all the roles below.
Photography
Roles & Responsibilities:
Take pictures at CCF events and other ad-hoc activities.
Requirements:
Already pursuing photography at some level- e.g. professional photographer or
as a hobby. Ideal if volunteer has a portfolio of samples of work for viewing.
Commitment:
ad-hoc basis
Writing
Roles & Responsibilities:
Writing and/or editing articles, brochures, flyers, leaflets, other collaterals.
Requirements:
Already have some experience writing either as a hobby, or professionally. Ideal
if volunteer has a portfolio of samples of work for viewing.
Commitment:
Project/ ad-hoc basis
Print Design
Roles & Responsibilities:
Work on design of advertisements, flyers, brochures, leaflets, pamphlets, banners.
Requirements:
Already have some experience with design work either as a hobby, or
professionally. Ideal if volunteer has a portfolio of samples of work for viewing.
Commitment:
Project/ ad-hoc basis
Online Design
Roles & Responsibilities:
Assisting staff with layout of electronic materials E-card etc;
Requirements:
Already have some experience with design work either as a hobby, or professionally.
Commitment:
Monthly basis, about 4-5 hours
