As part of our Back-to-School (BTS) services to facilitate a smooth school reintegration of children with childhood cancer, CCF’s learning centre, Place for Academic Learning and Support (PALS) serves as a transitional platform to bridge the learning gap between the treatment phase and normal schooling routine.
PALS provides a safe learning environment by adopting infection-control measures. A holistic curriculum enhances the students’ competencies both academically and psychosocially in preparation for the eventual return to school.Curriculum
Our holistic curriculum which incorporates academic coaching and integrative therapies aims to draw upon the unique experiences of each child and empower him/her to become a self-assured and forward-looking individual. We provide ample opportunities for each child to work with his/her peers, school and community partners to develop teamwork and problem-solving skills.
Pre-school curriculum is based on MOE guidelines
Primary and Secondary school curriculum is based on MOE syllabus for English, Mother Tongue, Mathematics and Science
Besides academic coaching, physical and psychosocial activities are provided weekly to enhance the students’ holistic development
