Hoping to play a part in raising childhood cancer awareness

group for a good cause. With the venue sponsored by the
owners of MerryMen andMadMenGroup, the like-minded
individualshad theirheadsshaved inabarwhich inspired the
group to call themselves “BeMad BeMerry”. The collective
fundraising efforts received overwhelming support from their
families and friends, raisingmore than $32,000 for CCF.

Coming onboard as aHair for Hope satellite partner for the first time in 2014, Kong
Hwa School showed its support once againwith two groups of students shaving at
VivoCity this year. With the aim to inspire Kong Hwaians to live up to their school
mission, “To bring out the best in every KongHwaian and to inculcate in him sound
moral values and a passion to learn and serve.”, Kong Hwa School had shown
great support forHair forHope.ThroughencouragingKongHwaians todemonstrate
passion and sincerity in serving others by shaving and garnering donations in
support of thecause, theyhelped tospread themessage tochildrenwithcancer that
they are not alone in their fight against the illness.

With the passion to help children with cancer, Agnes Goh, office manager at ACI
Worldwide (Asia) Pte Ltd, initiated the idea to participate in Hair for Hope as a
corporategroup. Through thesymbolicact of shaving,ACI Singapore teamhoped to
raise childhood cancer awareness and to tell people that they had shaved to stand
in solidaritywith children and families affected by childhood cancer.

Asan innovation-driven leader inhealthcare,RocheSingaporeTechnicalOperations
(RSTO) aims tomakeadifference in the livesof people.Recognising the importance
in delivering medical solutions and developing innovations for the future to better
improve patients’ lives, RSTO is inspired to play their part for a good cause through
the act of shaving to support CCF beneficiaries. RSTO also hopes to inspiremore
staff to make their bald statements in future Hair for Hope events to help raise
childhood cancer awareness in theSingapore community.

Coming onboard for the first time, 28 like-minded students from
Catholic High School decided to go bald in support of the worthy
cause. The courageousby the studentshelped to raisemore than
$15,000 for theFoundation.
