consecutive year. Hair for Hope has become an iconic event in the Monastery’s calendar which
devotees and donors look forward to annually to raise childhood cancer awareness and funds for
CCF. Venerable Sik Kwang Sheng said, “Our hearts and prayers are always with the children and
their families. We hope that they will always have faith and hope within, nomatter how challenging the situation is. As Buddhists,
we pray for thewell-being of the children and their families. With a positive outlook, onewill be in better position to deal withwhat

This is StarHub’s fifth consecutive year in supporting Hair for Hope as a satellite partner. To raise childhood cancer awareness,
StarHub pledged $1,000 for every individual who shaved his/her head at the satellite event. This year, the satellite event received
an overwhelming responsewith a record of 122 shavees including employees, partners and customers whowent bald in support of
childrenwith cancer. “Hair for Hope is agood campaign to raise childhood cancer awareness, onewhichengages thepublic actively,
while raising funds in a unique andmeaningful way,” saidMr HowieLau, Chief MarketingOfficer.

Pte Ltd has given every employee an opportunity to be part of this worthy cause. Head of Community Outreach Programme,
Mona Ee, has shaved for Hair for Hope for the past consecutive eight years. Recognising her passion to help raise awareness of
childhood cancer awareness, Mona is appointed as an ambassador of this year’sHair for Hope campaign.

Being Hair for Hope group and satellite partner since 2014, Kong Hwa School recorded a total of 170 shavees
this year, with 9 female shavees comprising 5 students and 4 teachers. As a school, it embraces the values of
compassion and empathy and it is evident on how they pass these values to the students. Each student was
told that in their own ways, they can help to improve the lives of children with cancer regardless how small or
insignificant the act may be. Hair for Hope indeed has allowed not only the students, but the teachers, staff and
familymembers to come together in support of a good cause.
