T.H.R.I.V.E

T.H.R.I.V.E supports children and families across the cancer journey, where survivorship begins from diagnosis. We believe that survivorship starts the day the child is diagnosed and include survivorship work throughout their care journey – to address healing from medical trauma, build relationships, care systems, and connected communities, championing environments to be inclusive, integrated, enabling safety, voice, and growth at every stage of survivorship.

T

Together

Are we a coordinated and connected ecosystem?

We collaborate with children, families, and teams across disciplines and agencies to build strengthened connected ecosystem of care, so no one navigates the journey alone.

I

Inclusive

Is care responsive to each child?

We practice culturally sensitive and developmentally responsive care for each child, family and survivor, while partnering across systems to remove barriers and create space for children and families to be included and thrive. We support their growth and reintegration into everyday life.

H

Hope Inspiring

What’s possible?

We create conditions for hope and meaning in the face of uncertainties through relationships that connect children, families and those around them. We support children and families to see what is possible and move forward, with the understanding that cancer does not define them.

V

Voice

Are children’s voices shaping care?

We partner and co-create with children, families and survivors to be heard, respected, and included. We amplify their voices and support choice, participation, and advocacy at every step in decisions that matter.

R

Relationships

Are relationships safe?

We believe that safe, attuned, and trusting relationships are the foundation for care and healing. We support the whole family, recognising that connection and trust enable growth, recovery and a sense of normalcy.

E

Ethical Care

How do we care for those who care?

We invest in staff, volunteers and contributors wellbeing, reflective practice, and ongoing people centered development as the foundation of sustainable, compassionate and responsive system of care.
