Services for Children/Adolescents

Resource Centre & Playrooms

CCF set up play and recreational spaces for the children and adolescents in both KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and National University Hospital. Our Child Life Associates plan activities as well as provide opportunities for play and interactions for the children and caregivers in the hospitals.

Child Life Services

Child Life Therapists support young patients through their hospitalisation and treatment journey. The patients and their siblings are given opportunities to:

  • Make sense of stressful, potentially difficult and unexpected events
  • Find mastery and emotional healing
  • Develop effective coping strategies to manage challenges
  • Improve sense of overall well-being

Child Life Therapists provide therapeutic play, preparation and procedural support, and psychoeducation. Home visits are arranged where needed.
