How?
By becoming a CCF Ambassador
What You Can Do:
- Help distribute CCF brochures/Giro Forms (provided by CCF) in school or in your neighbourhood
- Organise an essay/poem/blog/song writing competition about childhood cancer in your school
- Create a video to spread awareness about childhood cancer
- Do a research project about the public’s/your school’s perception about childhood cancer
- Stage a play about childhood cancer
- Create a childhood cancer awareness booth in your school
Things to Note:
- All projects are to be reviewed and agreed upon by CCF before execution so that CCF can provide the necessary advice and support.
- All publicity materials that features, bears mention and/or have reference to “Children’s Cancer Foundation” and CCF’s logo must be reviewed by CCF before publication.
Why?
Through regular sharing sessions, CCF has come to know that some of our beneficiaries have been looked upon with coloured lenses and challenged with remarks such as:
“That boy has cancer? His parents probably didn’t take good care of him as he was growing up.”
“Don’t play with that girl! She looks sick and might pass her illness to you!”
When you raise awareness and dispel unfounded myths and beliefs about childhood cancer, you help with the transition of our families from the hospital back to the community.
