23 March 2016 was truly a memorable day for our Pasirians
as we held our ‘The Gift of Love-Bunga Sayang’ fundraising
concert to celebrate love and giving. It was a meaningful
concert for the Pasirian family as we gathered to bring joy to
people from all walks of life. A total of $6,123.75 was raised
from the sale of concert tickets.
The event was graced by Ms Cheng Li Hui, Member of
Parliament for Tampines GRC. CCF beneficiaries were invited
to the event and were accompanied by student ambassadors
from the school. At the concert, our students shared their
passion for music and the aesthetics through a repertoire of
songs, dance and poetry recitation. From this initiative, they
demonstrated the idea that love and giving can manifest in
many forms. Everyone enjoyed the performances thoroughly!

Party for CCF beneficiaries, California Fitness also
organisedanamazingUrbhanize®CharityEvent on26

through the sale of tickets to the event. The leader of
the first ever Urbhanize® GroupX Class in Singapore
was none other than the Creator and Founder of
Urbhanize®, Dennis Thomsen himself, and guest
instructor, Johnson Chye! Along with heart-pumping
beats andmoves infused with the influence of hip hop
andBhangra, a type of Punjabi dance, the participants
had such a great time grooving to the dances knowing
that their participation would help to improve the lives
of childrenwith cancer.
California Fitness supports and is grateful for
organisations like CCF for their continuing efforts to
help children and their families affected by cancer.
“Whenwe first decided tobringUrbhanize® toCalifornia
Fitness, we thought what better way to do this than to
run a charity fundraising class! CCF is definitely one of
themany charities that I am honoured to be connected
with. Raising funds while also giving our members and
guests a great master class is something I could not
be happier to be a part of.”

Smile-A-WishCampaign
Held in collaboration with CCF and *SCAPE for the second
consecutive year, Smile-A-Wish (SAW) is a community event
service project organised by student leaders from theBusiness
Studies Club (BSC) at Temasek Polytechnic. The students
believe that they should continue to bring smiles to the people
and children who are battling cancer through meaningful
engagements beyond their academic pursuits.
From 4 – 6 January and 18 – 22April 2016, the BSC students
actively organised various creative fundraising events to raise
awareness of childhood cancer and educate their peers on
the importance of giving back to the society. The committed
and enthusiastic students took their fundraising efforts very
seriously and did their best to raise asmuch donations through
sales of CCF merchandise and a photobooth! The experience
was definitely a rewarding and very memorable one for the
students! We are glad to have raised a total of $7,102.08
for CCF.
