learning for children affected by cancer.
Over the years, we have been moved by the praises and
smiles from the students who have benefitted from this
initiative. We have also seen tremendous improvements in
the children’s level of confidence in their command of the
English language and their public speaking abilities.

Hospital Visit toKKH
CCFCaregiver Buddies andClubConnect
survivors organised a hospital visit to
KKWomen’s andChildren’sHospital (KKH)
on 9April 2016 to provide encouragement
and support to the patients in the ward.
The event provided CCF survivors and
caregiverswith theopportunity togiveback
to the childhood cancer community.
“Itwasaheartwarmingexperience interacting
with patients and their caregivers in the
hospital. Despite their illness, the children
remained hopeful and cheerful. I was also
very touched by the caregivers who were
very kind and they shared freely during our
visit. The children did not lose their strength
and hope despite the adversities. It was a
good self-reminder to us that there is in fact
inner strength in all of us which will help us
tide through the darkest times in our lives.
I wish the youngpatients a speedy recovery!”
