ModellingClay at CCF@NUH
It was a morning of fun and creative learning
experience for the children at CCF@NUH on
22 April 2016! Guided by instructors from
ClayWorks Singapore, the children were given
hands-on experience in modelling clay into
beautiful art pieces! Different types of clay
crafting activities were planned for different age
groups. The children were spoilt for choices as
they chose from the wide range of clay colours!
With a great deal of patience and concentration,
everyone managed to complete their clay works
andwere immensely satisfiedwith their crafts!
Mothers’DayCelebrations at CCF@NUH andCCF@KKH
To commemorate Mother’s Day, both CCF@NUH and
CCF@KKH organised activities for the little ones to show
appreciation to their mums!
On3May2016, thechildren
at CCF@NUHwere tasked
to bake cookies for their
mothers! With ingredients
kindly sponsored by CCF
volunteer, Siok Im, and
help from the volunteers,
the children kneaded
dough, cut them into their
favourite shapes and
decorated their cookies
with sprinkles and icing!
The children also did
simple craft works with
the pretty materials
generously
prepared
by CCF volunteer, Fiona. The craft
workswerepresented to theirmums, alongwith the cookies!At
the end of the session, all participants went homewith a photo
that captured thebeautifulmemoriesof this special celebration!
At CCF@KKH, Mothers’ Day was celebrated on 5 May 2016.
Volunteers from Luff’s Cottage Baking organised a cupcake-
making sessionat theFamilyResourceCentre for beneficiaries
tobake themouth-wateringdessert for theirmums!Needless to
say, every child had a photo taken with his/her mother and the
delicious treats at the end of the session!
The photos were presented in handmade frames thoughtfully
prepared by CCF volunteers! All the mothers also went home
with a bottle of hand lotion after a delightful buffet dinner!

Bakingat CCF@KKH
On 14 April 2016, excitement filled the CCF@KKH
FamilyResourceCentreas thechildrenbecamebakers
for a day! It did not take long for a crowd to form at the
playroom as the fragrance of the cupcake batter filled
the air. The children in the ward also joined in the fun
byhelping toadd ingredients to thebatter!At theendof
the session, the freshlybakedaromatic cupcakeswere
distributed to the beneficiaries. The cupcakes were so
tasty that one parent even asked for the recipe!
